Proverbs 25:2 says it’s “the glory of God to hide things, but the glory of kings to investigate them (or search them out).” So God set up his creation like a treasure map, with all sorts of things to be discovered, and he gave us the abilities to find them.
The sciences are the proof of it, because science is really just the discovery of all the things God inserted in his creation from the beginning, and scientists are the ones with the curiosity and the skills to search them out. God created the laboratory, and scientists are his lab technicians bringing his creation to light – to their glory as well as his.
It puts science on a hugely high pedestal, because if it wasn’t for men and women spending thousands of hours educating themselves on the intricacies and workings of the physical world, where would we be now? What if electricity had never been discovered, for instance? So the good parts of our history are very much the “glory” of those who set their minds to learn.
Like those who set their minds to learning about the human immune system, and how it operates when hit by viruses. Because they knew when the Covid virus hit what it would do, and what treatments would be effective against it. These were the true scientists who based everything on evidence, observation, proper testing, trial and error, consultation with peers, and consensus – and not rushing to any conclusions or treatments unless all those steps had been taken. That, as Proverbs 25:2 says, is the glory of kings, or experts in their field; it is to investigate, search, and experiment to tease out what God put into his creation for our benefit.
During the pandemic, then, we looked to our scientists to lead the way. Unfortunately, those with the purse strings and political agendas peddled a poorly based “science,” that has since proved to be disastrous for millions of trusting people. But it highlights a huge lesson, that those in power can easily pull the wool over our eyes if we aren’t educated.
It’s our glory to investigate and search things out, because that’s what God designed us to do, and there were hundreds of voices during the pandemic who were making predictions about the future of the virus and the effects of poor science in treating it – that have since proved to be extremely accurate. It is to their glory that they shared their expertise, despite censorship and loss of job, because they spared thousands of people from making uneducated decisions.
Buck To Basics 
So well said. The really big discovery is DNA and how it points to an intelligent Designer.

And now the power hungry want to mess with our DNA and change what God has created to some sort of mutant robot. Go figure.
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” (Romans 1:20-23)
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (Deut 29:29)

It has been said that people are now coming up through the school systems unable to think properly for themselves. This seems to be more and more proved as so much of the noisy utterings being voiced are the words of shallow thinkers, lacking in logic and reason. It’s as if people can’t hold more than one concept in their mind at once to come to a good conclusion for a rational decision.
We must indeed become educated, so we can “stand for something and not fall for just anything.” –Educated so that we’re not swaying like reeds in the wind, not knowing which way to hold strong against the prevailing winds of political and corporate blowhards.
We must be educated so that we can’t be likened to a school of fish, following the mob this way and that in the direction of the last forcefully shouted wave of misinformation. That means hearing all sides of an argument – really listening with an open mind – with an educated understanding of human nature that gives us a healthy skepticism of “facts” uttered by those who would profit from our unwitting trust.
For an excellent education in human nature one can look to the Bible. Christians are at an advantage here as they should have a solid grounding of eternal truths in moral matters and much that explains why things are the way they are (Deut.30:19). It is said that the beginning of knowledge/learning/wisdom is the fear of God (Prov.1:7). And that is decidedly missing from today’s world characterized by a lack of logic and sound reasoning.
Deuteronomy 30:19 – (God showed the precepts of right and wrong and set out the way that works) “…I set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life….” Of course God was speaking those words to the Israelites at that point in time. But God doesn’t change (Malachi.3:6). Those writings were preserved so we could learn from them (2 Tim.3:16) and, along with Romans 1:28, never has anything better explained how the state of the world came to be as it is.
The most often repeated excuse for not believing in God is that there is such evil in the world. They say If He exists He is either not good, or too weak to intervene. It doesn’t occur to them that this is the logical result of rejecting the way that works – the law of love toward God and fellow man (which Jesus expounded in the gospel writings). Many theologians are apparently at a loss to explain why there is so much evil in the world. But that scripture in Deuteronomy is the answer to why things are the way they are. The people – the majority – have chosen the way that leads to curses. God gave us the freedom to choose – the freedom to reject Him – and the world is living the result of that choice, writing its lessons in blood and tears. Call it a training ground. We’re getting educated. But there is good news: It is progressing to the day when Christ will save us from ourselves.
